Mushroom coffee is exactly what it says on the tin – coffee with added mushrooms. Mushroom coffee provides natural energy release to help you power through your day without the ‘crash’ of regular coffee.
As a nation of coffee lovers there are numerous coffee options on the market, but the trouble is many of these options often contain enormous amounts of caffeine, which means we get a spike of energy followed by a crash. This caffeine provides a sort of artificial alertness often leaving you feeling more tired and disrupting sleep later in the day.

Our mushroom coffee combines organic Colombian Arabica coffee, the most popular species of coffee in the world, with three amazing mushrooms – chaga, reishi and lion’s mane. But these mushrooms aren’t there for their taste, they’re there as a functional ingredient for their adaptogenic properties.
Adaptogens are certain herbs and mushrooms that help the body adjust to physical, chemical or biological stress. They’re thought to stimulate the body’s stress-protection response and help its systems return to a balanced state called ‘homeostasis’.
NOT ALL MUSHROOMS ARE EQUAL
Be careful when buying mushroom coffee as not all mushroom coffee is created equal. Always check out the ingredients and their potency, which should be detailed on the packaging. Organic dual-extracted mushrooms are the gold-standard of mushroom coffee, and they are high in beta-glucan. Beta-glucan is a form of soluble fibre that’s strongly linked to improving cholesterol levels and boosting heart health. It’s these dual-extracted mushrooms that we use in our recipe.

Instant Arabica Coffee – Organic Arabica coffee beans grown on small farms high in the Colombian mountains. Also known as “mountain coffee”, the Arabica species of coffee is the most popular in the world and has a distinct aromatic flavour. Our beans are roasted to perfection to create a dark, smooth coffee.
Chaga Mushroom – Also known as “Gift from God”, Chaga mushrooms are a favourite in functional medicine. Believed to be a strong anti-viral, they’re often used to enhance the immune system.
Reishi Mushroom – Known as the “mushroom of immortality”, reishi is known for its immune boosting properties and has been shown to help with relaxation and stress-relief.
Lion’s Mane Mushroom – Best known for its nootropic properties, science has shown the ability of Lion’s Mane to enhance cognitive performance and promote brain health.
Pink Himalyan Salt – We’ve added the tiniest pinch of pink Himalayan salt as it enhances the coffee flavour and contains more than 80 minerals, including potassium, iron and calcium. These minerals aid our body’s natural detoxification processes.
